Who we are?
We are the Mexico´s leading private power generation and commercialization company.
With over 20 years of experience, we ensure reliability for the National Electric System, as well as for cross-border systems, through which we export electricity to California, USA.
Our power plants, gas compression stations, and mobile turbines operate under the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. Together, they have the capacity to generate over 3.7 GW, compress 1,500 MMSCFD of natural gas, supply up to 90 MW of temporary energy to crisis and instability zones.

1995
International Generating Company (InterGen México) is founded.
1998
We build our first power plant.
2018
Actis acquires InterGen México’s portfolio, and Saavi Energía is born.
2021
Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) becomes our majority shareholder.
2022
We become Mexico’s second-largest private generator, incorporating Tierra Mojada into our portfolio.
2024
BlackRock acquires GIP’s investment fund.
2024
We integrate our first sustainable asset, the solar plant “La Lucha”.
